Alejandra invited to speak at national convening in Washington, D.C.


Alejandra (a rising senior at Howard High School of Technology in Delaware) was invited to share her perspective about the use of assessments in K-12 education at the release of theĀ Making Assessment Work for All Students report in Washington, D.C. sponsored by the Northwest Evaluation Association and Gallup.

13131724_10106306829500009_4107498210365683065_oDuring the event Alejandra joined a distinguished set of panelists and speakers which included Brandon Busteed, Gallup Executive Director of Education & Workforce Development; Matt Chapman, NWEA Chief Executive Officer; Kelly Goodrich, NWEA Vice President of Policy and Advocacy; and Dr. Dallas Dance, Superintendent, Baltimore County Public Schools, to name a few.

The new report includes findings from a survey of more than 4,200 students, parents, teachers, principals, and superintendents.

The invitation not only provided Alejandra with the opportunity to share her views; it was her first visiting the nation’s capital!
